Milk Churn Restoration and Painting.

I was recently asked to do a painting on an old milk churn that had previously been painted.
Before I could start doing my painting on the milk churn I had to do some restoration work, removing the old paint and fixing the dents and re-paint it before I could start doing my painting on it.

Here is my churn along with some before and after pictures of the process.
As it was when I was asked to paint it.

Paint removed.

Dents filled in and smoothed.

My pencil drawing.

My drawing traced on.

Finished and lacquered.
Some close ups of the robin and butter flies.

Robin.

Peacock and Small Copper butterflies.

Blue Holly and Comma butterflies.

I am really pleased with how this commission turned out and so are the clients.
